At Theoria Technical College, our team knows this journey because we've lived it. Between us, we've owned and operated licensed, multi-site child care programs; built a center from the ground up from empty land to a finished, licensed facility; and coached professionals through the leap from employee to owner. We've navigated licensing, curriculum, staffing, budgeting, enrollment, parent communication, and nearly every challenge that comes with running a program families trust.

Here's what we've learned: opening a child care center isn't hard because people lack passion. It's hard because no one ever shows them the whole roadmap. So most people try to piece it together alone, searching online, watching videos, joining Facebook groups, calling licensing, meeting with landlords and city planners, hoping they haven't missed anything. It's exhausting. And it doesn't have to be.

That's why we created Theoria's Childcare Owner's Academy the capstone of our stackable early childhood career pathway, which carries professionals from their very first certification all the way to program ownership. This isn't another online course where you watch videos and hope for the best. It's a guided, cohort-based journey where we walk through each stage of opening your center together.

When it's time to explore locations, we'll teach you what to look for before you sign a lease. When it's time to meet with your city's planning department, we'll help you understand what to ask and what you'll need.

When it's time to begin licensing, we'll guide you through the requirements, documents, and milestones ahead. And the whole way, you'll be surrounded by other future owners walking the same path celebrating milestones, solving problems, and encouraging one another.
