Whether you’re a first-time college student or returning to school after a break, one thing is certain: you don’t have to do it alone.

  • Tutoring

  • Academic Advising

  • Career Services

Let’s take a closer look at how each of these can transform your student experience and why you should start using them now.

1. Tutoring: Get the Help You Need, When You Need It

Struggling with math? Need help organizing your writing? Just want to make sure you’re understanding the material?

Our free tutoring services are designed to meet you where you are offering support in a way that’s judgment-free, personalized, and easy to access.

Tutoring is available in-person and online, and you can request support for:

  • General education subjects like English and math

  • Program-specific topics (ECE and more)

  • Study skills and test prep

Student Story:“I was failing my first math quiz, but after two tutoring sessions, I raised my grade from a 58% to an 85%. My tutor helped me actually understand the ‘why’ behind the steps, not just memorize them.”Caroline D., A.S. in ECE

2. Academic Advising: Your Personal Guide Through College

Feeling overwhelmed by course choices? Wondering how to plan for graduation? Don’t guess ask an advisor.

Every student at Theoria has an Advisor, who becomes your go-to partner for:

  • Building a personalized academic plan

  • Tracking your progress toward completion

  • Choosing classes and managing your schedule

  • Exploring degree options and certificate upgrades

Advisors are available by appointment or walk-in, and they work closely with faculty and the registrar to keep you on track.

Student Story:“My advisor caught a mistake in my class schedule before it messed up my calendar of classes. She fixed it fast and even gave me tips to graduate sooner.”Samantha T., Certificate in Early Childhood Education

3. Career Services: Connect School to the Real World

Earning your certificate or degree is just the beginning. Career Services helps you take that next step whether you’re job searching, changing careers, or building a new one from scratch.

Our career support includes:

  • Resume reviews and mock interviews

  • Job search coaching and networking help

  • Monthly career readiness workshops

  • Employer spotlights and internship opportunities

Student Story:“Career Services helped me build a resume that actually got noticed. I got two interviews the week after my resume review and started my new job the next month.”Luis M., Certificate in ECE-300
