Check out our beautiful location: https://www.buildingkidzschool.com/schools/vista-at-taylor-street/ Responsibilities: • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of children. • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment where children can explore and learn through play. • Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, curiosity, and self-expression. • Observe and assess children's progress, and maintain records to track individual development. • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to share insights into each child's growth and development. • Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom, adhering to all licensing and safety regulations. • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Qualifications: • Must have one of following options upon hire: A: 12 units in the following area: child/human growth & development; child/family/community or child and family relations; and programs/curriculum. You must have a minimum of three semester units or four quarter units in each of the core areas. B: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with appropriate age level endorsement issued by CDA National Credentialing Program of the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and 6 month on the job training/or work experience in a licensed child care C: Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or Master Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting. • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. • Patience, creativity, and a passion for fostering a love of learning in young children. • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).
